10k & 3k Fun Run

I am sad to say, the Bovingdon Parish Councillors have taken the decision that they will no longer organise the 10k and 3k fun run. The Council have been unable to find anyone to take over the role in organising the runs especially with the workload over the days before and the day of the run.

I very much appreciate all the support and help from everyone volunteers, marshals, water stations, hall, cyclists, 3k walkers, baggage handlers, car park, run registration, setup/down helpers, office staff (in and out of hours) and would like to thank everyone for your support over the years in making the runs successful and recognised locally by running clubs.

I would also like to thank all the runners over the years in supporting this event.

If anything changes in the future, the Parish Council webpage will be updated.

Start – outside the Memorial Hall
Cross – and down the High Street
Right – Onto Green Lane – continue the length
Turn – Right onto Ley Hill Road
Continue – to Chesham Road (water station)
Turn – Right onto the High Street
FINAL RUN down to the finish outside the Memorial Hall

Start – George V playing field (behind the Memorial Hall)
Onto – Church Lane then head up Stoney Lane
Then – Onto the public footpath to Hempstead Road
Turn – Left and head into the village – Turn – Left on to Vicarage Lane
Turn – Right at the Church onto Church Lane
Turn – Left onto the High Street
Straight – Onto Chipperfield Road
Turn – Right on to Flaunden Lane – continue down to Flaunden
Turn – Right onto Hogpits Bottom up the hill changing to Long Lane
Turn – Left onto Shantock Lane
Turn – Right onto Shantock Hall Lane
Turn – Right at the junction onto Ley Hill Road
Continue – to Chesham Road
Turn – Right onto the High Street
FINAL RUN down to the finish outside the Memorial Hall
