WHAT IS THE LADYBIRDS CLUB………A VERY FRIENDLY GROUP OF LADIES OF VARYING AGES

We are a member of the NAWC (National Association of Women’s Clubs) which was started in the 1930’s – “to provide recreation for women” and are a registered charity, charity reference number 1028365. Each local club is non-political, non-sectarian group open to ALL women. Each club is self-governing and chooses its own “entertainments”. A raffle is included at each meeting to raise funds for the club.

We are fund-raisers for local charities and have a varied programme of activities throughout the year suggested by our members. We have a small competition at most club meetings (participation is optional). The winner of the competition receives free entrance to their next club meeting.
We also meet during the summer holidays for coffee ‘bring and buy’ evenings, hosted by one of the Club members where any monies raised will benefit a chosen charity or charities.

An update on our progress and what we are update is reported twice a year in the Bovingdon News along with contact details.
